Horse Rescue

We have rescued, rehabilitated and placed several horses that were abused, neglected, or headed for slaughter.  These horses are now thriving thanks to the dedication of CVMR’s members and friends.

Sandblasters 4-H

CVMR has offered free equestrian classes and education for 4-H participants at our ranch.  Children ages 9 to 18 learn to ride, care for horses, raise money for local non-profits, and friend in projects that seek to improve the local community.

Scouting Programs

Local Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops have completed and are currently working on several projects at our Ranch.  This enables them to fulfill the requirements and obtain their badges.

Miniature Horses

A trio of female miniature horses — Oreo Cookie, Momma Maddy, and Baby June Bug — lolled in their stall at the Coachella Valley Mounted Rangers horse rescue ranch on Monday, waiting to be haltered for their morning walk.

LET'S SAVE A HORSE TODAY!

  • LET'S SAVE A HORSE TODAY! Dave DiMeno
  • People come and go but horses leave hoof prints on your heart.
  • When people say it’s JUST a horse, they JUST don’t understand…
  • If you haven’t fallen off a horse…then you haven’t been ridin long enough.
  • My favorite breed is RESCUE.
  • I've often said there's nothing better for the inside of a man than the outside of a horse.
  • When people say it’s JUST a horse, they JUST don’t understand…
  • Will is to grace as the horse is to the rider.
  • Horse sense is the thing a horse has which keeps it from betting on people.

Next Saturday we will be having our annual Harvest Festival where the kids dress up to match their horse in a parade at the ranch. This is a very casual occasion and fun for the kids.  For those of you who couldn't attend last year attached is a video. Here is your opportunity to be creative, dress up and enjoy your day.

We would love to start working with the local YMCA and other organizations to enrich their summer and winter camps by offering our services.  The goal is to offer these services using rescued horses, which we rehabilitate and train.  We have sweet, loving miniature horses available for horse therapy.
